We love finding a great campground. Even better, we love having a campsite with the best view in the campground. If you’ve never been to a campground before and are planning a trip there, finding the perfect spot could have you searching online for hours. But, we have 4 apps that we use to find the perfect campsite.
RV Life – AKA Campground Reviews: I’ve been using this website/app for years to help us find great campgrounds and campsites. It’s probably the one I use most. You receive access to 10+ million data points plus hundreds of thousands of reviews when you create an account with the RV Life app or website. You can filter your search by the type of hookups you’re looking for, the area you’re looking to visit, the type of campground you’re looking for, and more! It’s easy to use, there are lots of others who use this app/website, so there are plenty of reviews and photos to check out of different campgrounds, and it’s very easy to add your own review. I also use RV Trip Wizard when planning out our longer trips with multiple stops. You can input all your trip info (your route, gas milage, how much you spent on each campsite, meals, gas, etc) right into the app and it will navigate and calculate your entire trip. Very handy! There is also a great RV Life Campground Forum that’s available for you to use as well. Check them out on Instagram, too – @rvlifepro
The Dyrt: Another great website/app that I use is The Dyrt. There are different levels of membership with The Dyrt that you can purchase depending on your needs. It’s another great tool for planning camping trips and looking at different campgrounds/campsites and finding which ones will work best for you. Like the other app/website that I mentioned above, The Dyrt has an online forum for you to chat with other campers for advice/suggestions, a way for you to plan out your trip, “The Dyrt Magazine”, and so much more! You can also follow them on Instagram at: @thedyrt.
Campendium: Another great tool to use when planning out your camping trip is Campendium. Again, very similar to the other ones listed above. What I love about this tool is that there is a link at the bottom of their website for Coupon Codes for Backcountry, REI, Cabella’s, etc. You can check out Campendium on Instagram at: @campendium.
Campspot: Campspot is a new website/app that I’ve been using to help us find great campsites and places to visit and I’m loving it more and more. I love that they partner with all of their listed campgrounds to get real-time pricing, which guarantees you’ll always get the best deal – no membership fees required. Also, there’s no need to call the campground or wait for your booking to be accepted. They integrate directly with campground reservation systems to confirm bookings instantly. How handy, huh? You can follow them on Instagram at: @campspot.
Do you have a favorite tool or website you use when you plan your camping trips or when you’re looking to visit a new campground? I’d love to hear what your favorites are. Also, don’t forget to check out our camping favorites here and our travel account on Instagram here.
Happy Camping, friends.
