We always look forward to September every year. It’s the month that we get away to 30A for a few weeks as a family. It’s no secret we love our little home away from home in Santa Rosa Beach and cherish our slow, beach days each year. 30A restaurants are some of our favorite of any place we have traveled.
There are SO many options for food along 30A. Whether you need a fun breakfast out, a cozy spot for lunch, or a place for dinner with the family or a date night — there’s somewhere new to try for every meal. 30A restaurants are where it’s at.
Here are seven of our favorite options for dinners out on 30A (with a few of them being great “date night” options). You can see more photos of these places along with our other favorite locations on 30A on Instagram – click on the 30A highlight on my profile.
- FOOW – In one of our favorite communities on 30A, FOOW is right on the beach and has some pretty amazing view of the Emerald Coast. Their open-air kitchen concept allows you to see your food being cooked and the kitchen staff making it. Casual dining, fantastic views, and some of the best shrimp (the Banger Shrimp was my favorite) on the beach. This is a great place to bring the family – you can eat inside or outside – or a perfect spot for a date night without the kiddos.
- The Perfect Pig – We’ve been going to The Perfect Pig for quite a few years now, that’s how much we love it. With several locations along 30A, you can choose your favorite beach community to visit when eat at The Perfect Pig. My husband loves their Potato Parmesan Crusted Grouper dish. Their breakfast is perfection with the Parmesan Crusted Breakfast 3 Grilled Cheese Sandwich. Their cheese grits are also out of this world. I am not a grits person, but these cheese grits are amazing! This is a great place to take the family as well as another great date night option.
- Cafe Thirty A – We tried this restaurant for the first time this year and absolutely fell in love with it! It’s the perfect spot for a date night or to go to with older children. We probably wouldn’t recommend taking younger kids here. The food was great, the service was some of the best we’ve had, and the Banana’s Beignets were fantastic. They also have two for 1 entrees between 5-6pm.
- Bud & Alley’s Pizza Bar – We discovered this place this year. Every year when we arrive, our first night we grab pizza somewhere. Normally it’s at a favorite {Pizza by the Sea} but this year we tried Bud & Alley’s Pizza Bar and fell in love! The pizza was fantastic and the atmosphere is great. Right on the beach, it’s a fun spot to let the kids play in the sand or take a walk on the beach right after dinner. We loved the Cheesy Bread, Margherita Pizza, and the Jalepeno and Pepperoni Pizza. Our kids loved the Cheese Pizza, too. We went to this pizza place a couple times while we were there — both with our kids as well as a quick, casual date night.
- Local Catch – This may be our favorite place to eat at as a family. We all have our favorites there and the service is always good and quick. Outdoor and indoor seating, you choose. The Crab & Cheese Wontons are a great appetizer. Then, our favorite entree’s are: Caribbean Shrimp Tacos, Fried Shrimp Platter, and the Grouper Lagniappe.
Do you have a favorite 30A restaurant? I’d love to hear where it is.
