Do you crave that white cheese dip like I do that all the Mexican restaurants serve? I’ve searched and searched for the perfect ingredients and cheeses to make this queso at home and I have found it. Just four easy ingredients and you’re done. I’m telling ya, this is the BEST stuff and it’s so easy to make for Taco Tuesday or just to have as a snack.
*Ingredients*
- block of white american cheese (found in the deli section at the grocery)
- can of green chilis (found in the mexican food aisle at the grocery)
- diced jalepenos (found next to the pickles in the grocery store in a jar already diced up for ya)
- milk (we use whole milk)
*Directions*
- Spray your slow cooker with Pam or cooking spray.
- Slice and dice the american cheese and place in the slow cooker.
- Pour a little milk over the cheese (don’t completely cover it)
- Turn your slow cooker on and cook on high for 30-45 minutes or low for 2-3 hours.
- Once the cheese starts to melt, add a little more milk if it’s too thick and then add in however much you’d like of the chilis and jalepenos. I usually do around 2 teaspoons of each (again, depending on how spicy you like it and how much cheese/milk you’ve put in the slow cooker)
So, so good! If you end up making this recipe, tag me on Instagram @meghantucker so I can see.
