“It’s time for Veggie Tales!” (I can hear my 5 year old and 2 year old singing this at the top of their lungs as I write this post….so the timing is perfect!)
Bob & Larry are two characters our kids grow up with and I’m sure your kids have good memories of them (if they’re older) or are currently having fun watching them on TV.
I love working with Veggie Tales and am excited to bring to you a fun, spring giveaway from BigIdea.
We received ‘Twas The Night Before Easter last week in the mail and my boys have had such a fun time watching this (and yes, its been in the DVD player since we got it). I guess its a new favorite!
A little about the movie:
“It’s Easter time in Crisper County and cable news reporter Marlee Meade is hunting for a way to help others. On a tip that the old town theater will be shut down, Marlee cooks up a plan to save the stage and make a difference through the power of musical theater! With a cast of costume-clad townies, massive props, and a 20 foot robot rabbit – “Up With Bunnies” is hatched! There is only one thing missing – the star of the show!
When news spreads that singing sensation Cassie Cassava is arriving to perform in her hometown church’s Easter service, Marlee gets worried. Concerned about the competition, she schemes to steal the starlet for her own pageant. But when things go haywire, will it be curtains for Marlee’s dreams – or will she discover the true meaning of Easter and what helping others is really all about?”
This is a perfect Easter basket goodie or Springtime surprise for your little one. So, lets have a giveaway. One lucky winner will receive a copy of ‘Twas The Night Before Easter’ on DVD. If you do not win, you can click here to purchase it.
This giveaway will end 3/4/11 at 9pm CST – all entries must be in before then. Please include your email address in your entries as well.

Meghan, Oh this looks sooo cute. I just picked up two of Veggie Tails DVD’s at the Salvation Army this weekend and they look new. We had a few on VHS, but we dont have a recorder to watch those on anymore..
Anyway – I love Easter for so many reasons, one being able to teach my kids in our homeschool about the meaning behind Easter and not just the Easter Bunny. Also all the great food, we cook out each Easter on the deck and it’s yummo! Family time!

Aside from celebrating Jesus on Easter, I have another favorite thing about Easter. My oldest daughter’s birthday has fallen on Easter weekend every year so far. Since all of our family lives out of town, they all come to town for her birthday and then they go to church with us. We finish off the weekend having Easter lunch together. This has made Easter so special to me!
My favourite thing about Ester this year will be reading the new Ytreeide book ‘Amon’sAdventure’ to my kids. I am so looking forward to it.

Aside from the meaning of Easter in general, my favorite part is watching all the little girls twirling in their pretty new Easter dresses. It’s a day when they obviously feel like the little princesses they deserve to be.

From a spiritual aspect, I love teaching our kids that Jesus story did not end on the cross, that He rose and is still alive! We always make the Easter cookies the night before Easter and read the story from the Bible. Of course, hunting Easter eggs is one of their favorite things and they will spend hours in the yard hiding them for each other to find. Sometimes we hide them for the kids & put coins and trinkets in them as well.

I love Easter…yes, partly because of those super-yummy-delicious robin’s easter eggs (I can’t stop once I start, lol!). But mostly because of the amazing gift of Christ!

I love Easter because it seems to stay the most about God and family and the least about “stuff”
