We were out of town last week and I didn’t get a chance to link up with The Homeschool Mothers Journal, so I’m excited to be back at it this week. What all has gone in your homeschool this week? I’m anxious to see!
In my life this week…
I’ve been prepping for guests for dinner on Saturday night. I love hosting parties and get togethers. Guess how many will be at my home on Saturday night for a cookout? Just guess….
Around 65 {yep, you heard that right}.
So this week I’ve been cleaning like a mad woman. And its been great! I love cleaning, but I don’t love cleaning baseboards so I’ve been putting it off. Once I got down there on my hands and knees with some water and a little vinegar and a rag, boy, I can see all the days of filth Ive been putting off down there. Ick! So, I’m back on the schedule of cleaning them every 1-2 weeks. We’ll see how long this lasts. 🙂
In our homeschool this week…
We completed the letters Gg and Ee in PreK Scholars. I’ve also been prepping for next year. My post on what we’re going to be using for Kindergarten is coming next week! {Be watching!}
My favorite thing this week was…
Having lunch with just my mom. It’s not often its just me and her going out to lunch. Usually we have the whole clan with us and it was so great to sit down to a nice quiet lunch {well not all that quiet when you’re eating Mexican food} yesterday and just chat.
What’s working/not working for us…
My little guy loves every party of homeschool except Handwriting. Even though he’s so good at it. I’m hoping next years curriculum will have a better outcome as far as his reaction to handwriting goes.
Thoughts I have…
I’m ready for Summer! Just a few weeks left of our year…I’m ready to end this year but am so exicted to begin in the fall! Speaking of, I need to call my Umbrella School this coming week to get little man enrolled.
A photo, video, link, or quote to share…
When I’m not blogging or being with my kids, I’m on Pinterest…I’m an addict. It’s like a virtual inspiration board where you can collect things online that you love and find things from others that you’re inspired by or that you love. Similar {but better!} than Tumblr. Have you tried it? If not, leave a comment with your email address {yes, I’m using Sue’s technique a little here} and I’ll send you an invitation.
This sign has got to go on our front porch. I’m excited to find someone to make it for me. Another great find on Pinterest.
*NOTE* Check out the Hip Homeschool Hop that Hip Homeschool Moms hosts each Tuesday! It’s a great link up for all homeschoolers {or those interested in homeschooling} for their blogs, Facebook accounts, Twitter accounts and more!

Sorry. I don’t know HOW that link to “Macro Friday” got attached to my Comment.
Yes, please send me an invite! One more thing to get addicted to, right? 😉 I am SO making that sign now. I LOVE that. And I would never have thought of the front porch…but you have inspired me! What a wonderful thing for people to see as they approach my home! Hubby and I were just talking about how we want to start having a different family over once a week for dinner to fellowship, love, minister to. This is a MUST MAKE.
