Our family owns a cabin in the Smokies in North Carolina. This past weekend we went to relax, hang out with friends, and get in one last weekend during the fall. It’s always so pretty up there!
We rode our 4-wheelers all one the mountain that our cabin is on. One evening, my husband and his buddy took both of the older kids to Cataloochee to view the Elk. It’s amazing how close they got! “J” loved it and can’t wait to go back next time.
We took our 4-wheelers and went to this amazing waterfall that is on our mountain. It was a great reminder at how big our God is – simply breathtaking.
On our way home on Sunday we stopped at my oldest sons favorite restaurant, Cracker Barrel. He ordered a hamburger and with his first bite, he lost his first tooth! He was so excited! What a great place and time for him to lose his tooth!
It was a great weekend and we’re looking forward to the Spring when we can go back again.
*This is another reason why we love homeschool. We can leave on Wednesday for a long weekend trip and have some fun outings on our trip and call it a field trip*

My parents live in that area and it is one of the most beautiful areas I’ve been. And Cracker Barrel is something my kids look forward to everytime we go there!

Experiencing some nature is a fantastic way to get a little spirituality going. This truly is a wonderful universe, and the landscape in your pictures looks just spectacular.
