As ya’ll know I attended Blissdom this past weekend thanks to Apologia. The weekend was Blissful. I don’t know how else to put it.
I arrived {the long trip I had of driving 30 minutes to Opryland Hotel} Thursday morning around 10:30 where I met up with the new owner of Hip Homeschool Moms, Wendy Hilton. It was fun to finally squeeze her neck and meet her in person.
After that I had a very fun meeting with Kristi from Creative Kristi {have I mentioned I love her design work? She did my blog and has a new design site up and running. Go check her out!} Love that girl! She is just as amazing in person as I’d thought she be.
I spent most of the weekend catching up with friends and meeting new ones! The sessions were amazing and I can’t wait to go back next year.
My co-founder of Hip Homeschool Moms, Sue, was there and it was amazing to finally get to hang out with her {after working together to create a community online for almost two years!}.
Most of the sessions I went to were photography sessions. The time with Me Ra Koh was simply amazing. She had me in tears {who knew in a photography session, you could be bawling your eyes out}.
My Top 10 Favorite Things From Blissdom:
1. The community feel of all the bloggers coming together to encourage each other.
2. The Handmade Market and my Allora Handmade necklace that I bought.
3. Lots of laughs with great friends!
4. Me Ra Koh – need I say more?
5. Learning about and signing up for Picha Global.
6. Hearing Chris Mann sing at lunch on Saturday. {make sure you vote for him on The Voice!}
7. The amazing swag from the sponsors. Ya’ll, I’m telling ya, it was like Christmas!
8. The hotel itself – as ya’ll know, my family LOVES the Opryland Hotel.
9. The food was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. at every event.
10. My sponsor – I LOVE Apologia and cannot say enough good things about this company. If you homeschool or even if you don’t and are looking to add something more to your child’s education, check them out! They have amazing resources!
Until Blissdom ’13…..

Meeting you was a highlight for me as well! I felt like I had already met you months before. I’m sorry we didn’t get to connect more but I’m already SO looking forward to next year!!
SO happy we finally met! Can’t wait to see you again next year.
Apparently because I slept my way through January (really — I slept an insane amount), I hadn’t heard that you sold Hip Homeschool Moms! Wow! Congratulations on this new time in your lives – I can’t believe I missed that announcement. I really DID sleep way too much, I guess. LOL 😉
I’ve missed hearing from you! Thanks for the comment. Keep in touch!
