Easter is one of my favorite holidays. There is just something about springtime, birds chirping, fresh flowers, and pastel colors that puts me in a good mood.
In February, I attended Blissdom and got to spend some time at the Hershey’s booth. {yes, this was my favorite booth – and being almost 8 months pregnant at Blissdom, the chocolate really hit the spot!} The best part about the booth? {besides munching on Cadbury Eggs}, was creating our own, custom Easter baskets for our kids. I know my boys are going to just love them once they arrive in a couple of weeks.
What are some of your favorite things about this holiday? Share them in the comments section of this post. What are mine?
1. Explaining to my boys the real meaning of Easter. We read the story in the bible and thank Jesus for all he’s done for us!
2. Dying Easter Eggs – even as an adult, this is SO fun!
3. Easter Egg Hunts – we usually do several of these each Easter season. This year, we have a new one at church that we’re really excited about. Even adults get so into this – it’s funny to watch.
4. Easter baskets full of candy and eating the candy before breakfast!
5. Easter Dinner – nothing better than having Easter dinner together with friends & family. What is usually on your menu for Easter dinner? Ours consists of ham, green bean casserole, rolls, salad, mashed potatoes, and some yummy dessert. Yumm, I’m hungry just thinking of it. However, I think this year we might do things a little differently and grill steaks instead.
What is your favorite Easter candy?
My favorite is the Hershey’s Bliss and Cadbury Egg.
The Hershey’s site has lots of ideas for Easter products, crafts and basket ideas. They even have some yummy Easter recipes you can create using Hershey products.
So, when you are creating your Easter plans this year, make sure to include Hershey’s .
