This past weekend, we took the boys to Chattanooga. Chattanooga is one of our favorite places to visit, especially when we’re wanting to get away for just a couple of days.
We decided to stay at one of our favorite hotels of all time, The Chattanoogan.
Why do we love this hotel so much?
The Chattanoogan has been awarded the prestigious AAA Four Diamond Rating for the fourth year in a row. The Chattanoogan is the only full-service hotel in Chattanooga to win the award, and one of only 15 in the state to receive the honor.
With over 25,000 square feet of meeting space, a day spa, a fantastic indoor pool, and three on site restaurants, The Chattanoogan is the perfect place to spend a relaxing, upscale weekend, or to visit on business.
We arrived to our room and were greeted with the most amazing Snickerdoodle cookies. Oh my, yumminess!
Our room was fantastic. We were in a Courtyard View Suite and we were pampered the entire time in our room. The beds were so plush {where can I get a mattress like the one in the room?}, the suite was very clean, and the bathroom was my favorite part.
The classic contemporary Courtyard Suites offer guests a relaxing retreat amidst stunning surroundings. The Courtyard Suites are elegantly designed in neutral colors with striking accents of browns, reds and whites. The 635-square-foot Courtyard Suites have a King bedroom and adjoining living area with a sleeper sofa, comfortable sitting area with table and chairs, four-person dining table, flat screen HD TV with DVD player, and wet bar with mini-refrigerator. The luxuriously appointed bathrooms feature oversize jetted spa tubs, overhead rain showers and pampering bath products.
Later that afternoon, the boys went swimming at the indoor pool and had a blast. Yes, the water is this blue… my 3 year old refers to it as the “Blue Pool”.
Ruby Falls was next on the list to visit. What an experience! I had no idea what to expect since we had never visited before but it definitely was one of the highlights of the trip. I was unsure if my boys would even enjoy it – I thought it might be a little much for them after reading it was 0.5 mile walk to the falls and 0.5 mile walk back.
Located over 1120 feet beneath the surface, Ruby Falls is the nation’s largest and deepest waterfall open to the public. Hundreds of gallons of water rush over by the minute and amaze visitors.
After a guided tour to the falls, we made it! Woah, it was breathtaking. My 3 year old son kept saying, “Me like waterfalla {waterfall}.” Our 6 year old son learned so much about the history of Ruby Falls while on the tour, he was talking about it after we left.
We loved Ruby Falls so much that I have a fun giveaway for you! Who would like to win a Family 4 Pack to Ruby Falls & Rock City? This giveaway will end, Monday, June 18, 2012 at 12:01am. A winner will be chosen using Random.org and announced on the widget below as well as on Facebook.
