It’s been 31 years. Thirty one years ago, my parents started taking me to church. We were there every Sunday and Wednesday and all church activities in between. It’s something I have always grown up with. At the age of 14, I was baptized and took the Lord as my Savior. If you’re like me, you’ve grown up knowing about Jesus your whole life. If you didn’t grow up in a christian home, you probably know of him.
There are LOTS who don’t know him. Who have never heard his name.
When I am down or need assurance. When I am in a group studying. Or when I’m having my quiet time in the mornings. I’m in his word.
But all over the world, there are people who live without the word of God because they don’t have it in their language.
“340 million people do not have access to even one verse of God’s word.”
Why? Because it’s not available in their language. Wow! Is that number shocking to you like it is to me?
I love how my friend Brooke McGlothlin puts it:
“Not even one verse.
When tragedy strikes…not even one verse.
When loss overwhelms them…not even one verse.
When they don’t know what to do…not even one verse.
When they ache for a Savior…not even one verse.
No comfort, no relief, no direction…not even one verse.”
This is where The Seed Company steps in to help.
God’s word is coming.
My heart longs for every people group and all languages to have the bible in their hands. My prayer is that you join us in this movement and help bring the word of God to these special people.
