For several years, I’ve been buying gifts for others (and myself) that give back. These are my favorite things to purchase because they help someone else. We are to be responsible with how we spend money, and I think this is a great way to do just that.
These are a few of my “favorite things” that give back. Of course this list could go on forever, but these are my top 6. Consider purchasing Christmas gifts this year from these amazing companies and organizations. You’ll feel great about your shopping & giving, I promise!
1. Blue Striped Ballet Flat from The Root Collective
(provides jobs for people in Kenya, Guatemala, and Peru. Donates 10% of sales to nonprofits in artisans’ countries)
2. Peace Ornament from The Rusted Chain
(50% of the proceeds from this ornament get donated to Convoy of Hope, an organization that does beautiful work all over the world providing help and hope to those in need.)
3. Seble Scarf from fashionABLE
(your purchase from fashionABLE helps give sustain jobs to vulnerable women in Africa)
4. Shoulder Bag from Timbali Crafts
(The women who create Timbali Crafts are all volunteer cooks at care points for orphans and vulnerable children in the rural Swaziland communities of Engculwini and Nsoko. The 100 women of Timbali Crafts help feed more than 2500 children each day at 20 different care points.)
5. Manabi Necklace from Jahari Creations
(Johari Creations is a marketplace for handcrafted products made by artisans in developing countries around the world. We seek to come alongside our artisan partners with sustainable incomes, holistic development and shared work and responsibility)
6. Rewind Clutch from Noonday Collection
(Your fashion sense can now restore dignity to abandoned women in Ethiopia, empower communities in Ecuador, and create business opportunities for Ugandans.)
