Words couldn’t be truer. What a sweet little week it was on #30A with ALL of my people. Just what we needed.

Use 4 to 5 ripe avocados, mash them up real good. Add fresh lime juice, salt, pepper to taste. Give it a good mix and boom – you have perfection. You can also add diced tomatoes, onions, and cilantro for a little extra flavor. Serve with chips, tacos, or just a spoon (I won’t judge). 😉

This is so simple, fresh, and it will be gone in seconds.

It’s that time of year when homeschool moms star

It’s that time of year when homeschool moms start thinking and planning for the upcoming school year. I don’t think I ever shared our curriculum choices for this year and figured now may be a good time since some of us are in planning mode for August and the new school year.

Our 10th, 7th, and 2nd grade curriculum choices:

• 2nd Grade Curriculum:
Math: Singapore Dimensions
Language Arts: Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons & Master Books
Science: Alpha Omega LifePac
Bible: Alpha Omega LifePac
Social Studies: Master Books My Story 1
Handwriting: Dash Into Handwriting

• 7th Grade Curriculum:
Math: Teaching Textbooks
Writing: IEW
History : Master Books World Story 1
Science: Master Books General Science 1
Bible: F260 New Testament

• 10th Grade Curriculum:
Math: Teaching Textbooks
Writing: IEW
History: Outschool
Science: Master Books Survey of Astronomy
Foreign Language: Babble Spanish

You can see all of our curriculum choices from previous years over on the blog under the “homeschool” menu. Also, a perk of homeschooling is that if something isn’t working in the middle of the year or even towards the end of the year, you can change it up to something that does work better for your child. We did that earlier this year and have done that with a couple of our other kids in the past. It’s our job as homeschool parents to help our kids excel and love learning. Find the curriculum that works for you and your child.
