It’s adorable. It really is. All the artwork they bring home from school, church, or the artwork they make at home. You really wish you could keep each piece for each child. But you can’t unless you want your house to be covered in papers.
{and if you know me at all, the thought of lots of papers on my countertops makes me start to shake}
So, how can you show them you love their handwork and beautiful pieces of art but not have every single craft or artwork hanging around your house? Here are a few ideas I received from friends or have heard about other places.
- Turn It Into Keepsakes: Take digital pictures of the kids creations, reduce the images and then make a Shutterfly album.
- Laminate your favorite pieces and turn them into coasters or placemats.
- Have your kids write a note on the back of their pieces and mail out to relatives.
- Let the kids decide what they want to keep and what they want to get rid of. Give each child their own space or cork board. The idea is for kids to decide what stays up and what goes, but that all artwork has to stay on the cork board.
- Hang clipboards on the wall and allow children to choose which art project they want up on each clipboard to show off. Not only is it functional, but an adorable way to display!
What are some of your favorite ways to display your kids art projects? I’m anxious to hear.
