While it seems like yesterday we brought our youngest son home from the hospital, it’s been over 4 years and lots has changed in the newborn baby world. Lots of fun new products I wish they had when my boys were babies (I sound so old saying that). A little over 8 weeks ago, we brought a newborn baby girl (foster placement) home from the hospital. What a joy it is to have her in our home. I love the newborn stage and our 3 boys love having a girl in the house.
We weren’t planning on another newborn after we had my 3rd son, so we got rid of most of our baby items and gear. After researching different companies and their products, I found a lot of new brands that I fell in love with. These would also make great baby gifts if you know someone having a baby soon. Here are my top 7 “must-have” items for a new baby:
- Oh-So-Vera: We have a girl in the house and you better believe there are lots of headbands being used and whimsical, cute outfits. I first discovered Oh-So-Vera on Instagram and immediately clicked “follow” and fell in love with their products. From leggings, to headbands, to hair bows, to layette sets, there is something for every stage. I wanted something cute that we could bring her home from the hospital in. I chose the Baby Layette Gown and matching Headband Set. My favorite print that I saw was the Poppy print. Isn’t it adorable? (Check out the giveaway for an Oh-So-Vera product, below)
2. Hip Cub Diaper Bag: I’m a diaper bag fanatic. Always have been. I want functional, adorable, and something that will wash easy. I feel in love with this Hip Cup bag after searching and searching for the perfect bag. I love how it is cross-body style and can be used for a bag for something else other than a diaper bag.
Want one just like this? Head over to Amazon and purchase yours. Isn’t the price great?
3. Covered Goods: I discovered Covered Goods on Instagram as well! I knew I wouldn’t need a nursing cover with this foster placement, but wanted a cute car-seat cover and shopping cart cover. I found the PERFECT multi-use product! One cover, 4 ways to use it!
I’ve used it as an infinity scarf, car-seat cover, and will soon (in a few months) use it as a shopping cart cover. All you moms out there who nurse, this would make the PERFECT nursing cover too because it covers your back and front completely and still leaves enough room for you to check on baby while he/she is eating.
Would you like to win a Covered Goods product of your choice? Which print would you choose? Use the Rafflecopter Widget below to enter. Giveaway ends 8/5. Open to U.S. Residents only.
4. DockATot: DockATot™ is a multi-functional lounging, playing, chilling, resting and snuggling dock you can take anywhere. Created with love in Sweden with a strict emphasis on design and comfort, there is simply nothing else like it on the market that allows mothers to feed, soothe, and bond with baby. Again, I found this amazing brand on Instgram. It’s simply perfect! Watch this brief video explaining what a DockATot is.
We travel a lot and figured this would be so much easier to take on trips for the baby to sleep in than a heavy and awkward pack-n-play. Who would agree with me there? It’s SO comfortable, I wish they made one for adults. I’d totally buy it. With so many ADORABLE prints to choose from, it’s hard to pick just one. I went with the Mod Pod print and LOVE it!
5. Milestone Baby: The set that started it all. The award winning Baby Cards are 30 photo cards that you can use to capture your baby’s first year in weeks, months and memorable moments.
Add a card to your baby pictures and you will never forget when your little one slept through the night, rolled over or said mama for the first time. These are the cutest and I’m loving how we’re using the Milestone Baby Cards for “Miss L”, our new, sweet, foster baby.
6. Bayboo Muslin Blanket: Bayboo organic cotton muslin blankets are the first line of many baby linen products we offer. These multi-use muslin blankets are essential to raising a happy and healthy baby from right out of the womb.
Bayboo lovable, stylish and mindfully crafted patterned muslin blankets are made from the highest quality GOTS certified 100% organic cotton that are made to last! Best of all? They donate 10% of all muslin swaddle blanket profits from online purchases to help reduce child mortality around the world. Pretty great, huh?
These blankets are the softest out there. Even softer than those name brand muslin blankets that you find at boutiques. I love their size too! Whether you use it for a swaddle, a blank-y for your toddler, a nursing cover, or carseat throw, it’s the perfect size!
I’m excited to be giving away one of these adorable muslin blankets to one of you! All you have to do is use the widget below to enter. Giveaway will end 8/5 at 12am CST and is open to US Residents only. Good luck!
Have you been to the grocery store with a baby either in a carseat (which is a big “no-no” when using on top of a shopping cart), or had multiple children with you, and you’re trying to stock up on groceries for the week? You simply do not have enough room. Can I get an Amen? Just the other day (before learning about Binxy), I was in the same boat. Multiple kids in tow, an infant carseat in hand, and a long list of groceries. All needing to go in the same cart. Talk about overwhelming.
Binxy Baby products are fun, easy, convenient, and most importantly, simple way to safely hold a baby plus a basket full of groceries! Curious how it works? Step by step instructions are online.
Have you seen these out in the stores before? Would you like to own one? I have a great way for you to receive 10% off all products at Binxy Baby! Just click HERE to shop! Which print is your favorite?
Aren’t all these newborn baby items just the cutest? Which one do you think you would use the most? What baby products do you recommend? I’ll be sharing a few more of my favorite baby products in a couple months when “Miss L” gets older. Stay tuned.
