Love sharing photos on your blog, Facebook, or Twitter and don’t want to run the risk of someone “stealing” your images? Then create a watermark on them in just ______ easy steps using Picnik.
What is Picnik? Picnik is FREE {although a premium version is available} editing tool that is so easy to use and you don’t have to download or purchase any software to use.
Here is the watermark look we’re going for….
1. Go to Picnik.com and create an account if you don’t already have one. Log in once you have created your account. Click “Upload Photos” and upload from your computer or wherever you have your image stored.
2. Then you can edit it however you’d like. You can click “Create” to add different effects to your photo.
3. Click the “Text” option to start watermarking your photo. Type your text and click “Add”. You can change the text size and color by using the “Text Properties” box.
4. I use “Overlay” for my watermark effect under “Advanced Blend Modes”
5. Once you are finished, you can save your image to Flickr, your computer, or wherever you’d like.
That’s it! See how easy that was!

I love transparent water marks too.
If your concern is someone stealing your photos, I would suggest some creative placement of your watermark. Of course, you don’t want it to block key aspects of your picture, but maybe moving it halfway up the left or right side of your picture. Or including a creative “logo” so that it isn’t too awkward halfway up the side?
Thought being that bottom corner watermarks are really easy to crop out of a photo. So the purpose of making sure no one steals your images isn’t fulfilled. You would be surprised the lengths ppl go to to claim photos as their own. Even of other ppl/families. It blows my mind. Projects, I could see. But ppl?
Found you via a tweet by Donna at Funky Junk Interiors. Really like your blog!
