*Ingredients*
- 5 eggs
- 1 tsp. mustard
- 1 tsp. salt
- 6 pieces of bread (I use white)
- butter to spread
- 2 cups of cheese
- 2 cups of half and half
- 1 lb. breakfast sausage (I love hot, but my family doesn’t so we usually stick to mild)
*Directions*
- Cook the sausage and drain. Set aside.
- Spread butter on the 6 slices of bread and dice.
- Spray the bottom of your 9X13 baking dish with Pam.
- Sprinkle the bread throughout the bottom of the 9X13 baking dish.
- Next, put the sausage on top of the bread.
- Place the cheese over the sausage.
- Beat the eggs, mustard, salt, and half and half in a medium bowl until it’s mixed very well.
- Pour the mixture on top of the sausage, cheese, and bread.
- Cover with foil or saran wrap and let it sit for 8 hours (overnight).
- In the morning, cook on 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes. Delish!
If you try this recipe, I’d love to hear how you liked it. I’m sure you’ll be hooked like we are, too.

Ok what type of mustard do you use in the breakfast casserole? Is it ground mustard or yellow prepared mustard ?
