Are you looking for something fun to do with your kids? Want to be creative yet keep it simple?
This past week we had some fun doing art on canvas. It was a rainy day outside and I’ve been looking for something to put on the boys walls in their room but couldn’t find exactly what I wanted. I wanted their initials and came up with this idea to place above their beds. I got out the two canvases we had and we went at it. {This project is perfect for preschoolers & elementary kids}
What you’ll need:
- canvas {whatever size you’d like}
- paint {any paint will do – we used acrylic}
- masking tape
- paint brushes
- plate to put paint in
Directions:
1. Put the desired paint on a plastic or foam paint.
2. Have children put on old clothes or roll up their sleeves.
3. Put masking tape on the canvas, whatever design you’d like. For this project, we made our initials.
4. Paint all over the canvas, even on top of the tape, that is fine. All the white areas of the canvas need to be covered in paint.
5. Let it dry for several hours.
6. Once dry, remove the masking tape from the canvas and voila! You have your creation.
