We love using Airbnb when we travel or even when we staycation. I have a list of our favorites HERE, but this week, we found a little gem nestled in the woods in Middle Tennessee. It felt a little like home being back in the woods at this little, cozy place. We found The Potting Shed at Cripple Creek Retreat on Airbnb and Instagram and immediately fell in love and knew we had to visit.
Joe and I try to do a little getaway several times a year if not more. We love exploring little areas around Tennessee and Cripple Creek Retreat may take the spot as our new favorite place. You can check out the inside of this little Airbnb beauty HERE.
We loved exploring this little part of Middle Tennessee and can’t wait to make plans to go back to return to Cripple Creek Retreat & explore the area even more. What did we love the most from this little “neck of the woods?” Here are just a few things:
- Making a fire and sitting under the twinkling lights listening to the summer night sounds in the country. Like I said before, it felt like home.
- We loved that this little place can only accommodate 1-2 people. It’s great for couples, a best friend overnight trip, or a solo retreat. There is only 1 king bed so this isn’t a place to bring your family. It’s a treat for sure, though.
- Another thing we loved was that it was completely stocked, everything we could possibly need. We have visited some Airbnb’s before where there was almost nothing provided, so having everything provided and already there was a huge plus to us.
- It’s located within minutes to adorable little antique shops, the Readyville Mill (we had a great breakfast at The Mill), and downtown Murfreesboro where there are many cute shops and restaurants.
- The owners of Cripple Creek Retreat are amazing! Super sweet, eager to help, and quick to answer any questions you have. They live on the property (it’s over 20 acres) and are around if you need anything, but definitely give you your space to enjoy your “retreat”.
- The rates on their weekday stays are already discounted from their weekend rates, so if your schedule is flexible, make plans to visit on a weeknight.
We would rate Cripple Creek Retreat 5+ stars. Really, it’s that great. If you have any questions about this area or Airbnb, we’d love to answer them and help you plan a visit there. Also, check out some of my favorite travel products HERE.
