We just returned from this beautiful place.
- The location. We have stayed other places on 30A, and Old Florida Village is by far our favorite. It’s close to the beach, restaurants, and shops.
- Santa Rosa Beach is far less crowded and not as loud as other little towns along 30A. That’s perfect for us. We love a quiet beach town.
- The house is right across the street from one of the two pools in the neighborhood. It’s almost like having your own private pool. It’s never crowded and you can look out your window to check on the kids while they’re swimming.
- The beds are super comfortable. We travel a lot and sleep on a lot of beds, but these are some of our favorite.
- 2,200 square feet. 3 bedrooms (with 2 king rooms) + a bunk room make this place one of the best to rent with friends or if you have a larger family.
- There’s a cute, little carport with a small garage attached. Inside the garage you’ll find a TON of beach, pool, and baby items. From floats to strollers to sand toys, to wagons to take to the beach, to outdoor games and more. Leave all that stuff at home and save room in the car by using what’s available at Starfish & Coffee.
- Inside the house is everything you need minus the groceries. All you need to bring are your clothes, bathing suit and food. For real. Inside are beach towels to use, kitchen appliances (crock pot, coffee maker, blender, pots and pans, etc), baby items (stroller, high chair, pack n play, toys, etc)
- The neighborhood is so quiet. We aren’t fans of the loud and busy neighborhoods. We live on 15 acres in the middle of the woods and I think if we went to a place where the neighborhood was busy and loud, we wouldn’t return. Old Florida Village is the sweetest little neighborhood.
- The view from the back of the house. So many times when you rent houses at the beach, you feel like you’re on top of your neighbors. Not at Starfish & Coffee — quite the opposite actually. We feel right at home with the backyard being in the woods with a cute, little fence.
- The owner. It’s not often you find a friendship from renting a house from someone. The owner of Starfish and Coffee are so easy to work with, flexible with booking your stay, and are available throughout your stay to answer any questions. You don’t always find that, so when you do, it really stands out.
We are heading back to 30A in just a few weeks and already have a golf cart lined up with SoWal Beach Buggys. If you rent once, you’ll see the need to have one during every beach trip after that. There are quite a few different options of carts. Which one is your favorite?
You can see why we love having a golf cart from SoWal Beach Buggys so much as well as a few fun golf cart videos over on my Insta Stories. Just click on the 30A highlight in my profile.
Another fun thing to do while visiting Santa Rosa Beach is to ride bikes. Whether you bring your own or rent some while you’re there, you must ride up and down 30A and ride to the beach on your bike. We got our bikes again this year from Live Well 30A.
