Honor someone special this Christmas season by giving a life changing gift. This will be the 18th annual edition of the World Vision Christmas Catalog. If you aren’t familiar with World Vision, they are a Christian organization dedicated to helping in disasters and helping with children and communities reach their full potential by tackling poverty. There’s lots we take for granted. Just think about it.
- clean water to wash with and drink
- food on the table
- education
- keeping kids out of the way of trafficking and harm
With the rush of the holiday season quickly approaching, we’re all scrambling for gifts to buy our loved ones and friends. We race around malls and shop online to find that perfect gift, when really, we probably didn’t end up buying “the perfect” thing. This year, I challenge you to take a different approach to your shopping. Think about giving a gift, and changing a life at the same time. The World Vision Gift Catalog is easy to get sent to your mailbox or easy to thumb through online.
Instead of buying someone that perfect outfit, why not give clothing to children and families who are living in arctic conditions who don’t have the warmth of clothes? $35 gives $350 worth of clothing to these individuals.
Instead of buying someone those books that they asked for, allow 1 orphan to go to school by donating for his/her educations fees.
These are just a couple of ways you can help. Check out the 10 Most Popular Gifts given.

Need Ideas on How to Give Back? World Vision has a few ideas to help!
Set time aside and have a family “chat” about giving and let kids select the charitable gifts they are interested in giving. Help them understand what giving back means and how there are lots of families all over the world living in poverty and that they are really making a difference by helping them out this Christmas.
After Black Friday and Cyber Monday have passed, celebrate “Giving Tuesday” on December 3rd and make purchases on this day for those meaningful gifts.
Watch what giving just 1 goat can do. {have the kleenex ready!}
I’ve been to Africa a couple times. I’ve seen first hand what they need and how we can help. My boys are excited to Give a Gift that can Change a Life.

I just ordered gifts the other day to give to friends and family this year. I know a few children who will get a bible In their language and that makes this Christmas all the more special to us!! I got my first gift last year from a friend of two chickens and a goat and it was my all time favorite gift!
