I love, love, love oatmeal. I especially love easy to make, homemade Instant Pot oatmeal. In fact, my entire family loves it and it makes for a yummy, quick breakfast on busy mornings. Would you like the recipe? I thought so.
*Ingredients* (you can also double this recipe if you’re feeding more than 4 people)
- 1 cup of oats
- 1 cup of milk
- 3/4 cup of water
- 2 tbsp of real maple syrup
- dash of cinnamon
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
*Directions*
- Spray the Instant Pot with Pam or use and Instant Pot Liner.
- Add all ingredients into the Instant Pot and give it a good stir to mix.
- Put the lid on and make sure the vent is closed.
- Cook on HIGH PRESSURE Manual for 2 minutes. Then do a 5 minute natural pressure release. Quick release the vent after 5 minutes and remove the lid.
- Stir the oatmeal and serve.
- It’s fun to add some fun toppings to this oatmeal, too. Our favorites are: brown sugar, regular sugar, blueberries, cinnamon, etc.
- You can store this in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days but we usually don’t have any leftovers – it’s that good.
