JORD Wood Watch {review & giveaway}

When you think of wood materials, you don’t put it with fashion pieces. At least I don’t. I think of home decor and building materials. Recently, wood has been used for fashion material. When I first heard of JORD / WoodWatches.com, I immediately had to check them out. The idea of a wooden watch really intrigued me. Then, I received an email from the team at Jord Watch to see if I would be interested in a review. Of course I said yes because I’ve heard nothing but good things about WoodWatches.com.

JORD Watches are amazing. They’re beautiful, functional, and definitely a conversation piece. They’re made from various sustainably-harvested trees. I have the Fieldcrest watch in Zebrawood & Maple. One of my favorite parts of the watch is the face. I’m actually surprised at how much I love the face of this watch. I was expecting it to be chunky and heavy and uncomfortable to wear. Definitely not the case. The glass on the face is scratch proof which is good for me being a mom to 3 boys. I’m always playing rough and have someone on my lap. This watch will fit right in to our lifestyle and I won’t have to worry about it scratching. Isn’t it beautiful?

Each JORD Wood Watch is handcrafted from natural woods. Some of them include: Maple, Bamboo, Koa, Zebrawood, and Sandalwood. The entire watch is created from untreated wood, except the clasp which is sterling silver.

When ordering your watch, you can have it sized through JORD or at a local jeweler. I had JORD size it and it fits perfectly! I have it fit like a bangle, but if I wanted it to fit more snug, I would have 1-2 links removed.

This isn’t a watch you can go scuba diving in. While it isn’t completely water safe, you can get a splash on it and it won’t be damaged. Also, its a good idea to keep it out of the sun when you’re not wearing it. How do you keep the watch clean? Use a dab of olive oil and a dab of lemon juice and apply it with a soft cloth.
