It’s here — One of the most talked about shows! Million Dollar Quartet is at Andrew Jackson Hall in Nashville, TN – May 7 through May 11, 2014!
Million Dollar Quartet is the Tony® award-winning Broadway musical, inspired by the electrifying true story of the famed recording session that brought together rock ‘n’ roll icons Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Carl Perkins for the first and only time. This thrilling musical brings you inside the recording studio with four major talents who came together as a red-hot rock ‘n’ roll band for one unforgettable night. Don’t miss your chance to be a fly on the wall of fame… at Million Dollar Quartet!
Some of the famous tunes include: “Blue Suede Shoes,” “Folsom Prison Blues,” “Great Balls of Fire,” “Hound Dog” — as well as country songs and spirituals like “Peace in the Valley” and “Down by the Riverside.”
The actors, don’t just play the roles but play the music too. The music was fantastic and sounded EXACTLY like Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Carl Perkins — even down to the exact expressions and moves. My mom, who went with us said she couldn’t believe how each character really did portray the person they were acting as. She grew up and listened to this music, so you better believe she was jamming out to each song.
I love that this performance is at TPAC during Mother’s Day weekend this year. This is the perfect gift for your Mom if you’re tired of doing the same ole, same ole Mothers Day brunch or sending flowers. She will remember this forever and will still be talking about it days after {like my Mom is}.
You can purchase tickets online and find TPAC on Facebook and Twitter.
