We have been looking for a good devotional book that my 6 year old can go through either with us or on his own. There aren’t many out there that he can read and understand and come away encouraged by what he read {at least for his age}.
When I saw My First Devotional, I was excited to get my hands on it! It features the same first-person style and easy-to-read text as My First Study Bible. This book is a great stand-alone devotional or story-by-story companion and reinforcement tool for My First Study Bible.
Perfect for ages 6-10 years old. There are 72 new pages of devotions and real-life applications which spark a child’s interest in the Word of God in this book. It also allows kids to explore the Bible and to learn interesting facts & mysteries as well as helps kids read and memorize key Bible verses. What more could a parent want? My 6 year old reads this every morning when he wakes up or just after breakfast and it’s amazing what he is getting from it on his own. I love to see him studying and having his own quiet time at such a young age.

We usually do devotionals just prior to lunch. I have a younger one that I like to let sleep in so I can do hs studies with the older ones. Since the kids get up at different times, this works best for us. I have my own personal devotion as soon as I wake up.

I do a short devotional with the kids in the morning, and we do a longer one just before bedtime when Daddy does the Bible-reading and we pray one by one.
PS. I was supposed to give birth to our 3rd baby on Monday, but we are still expecting him. I am sure I cannot get back to you in 48 hours if I win. Can you please keep it for me if I win? We would love to egt this book!!! Thank you!!

We usually try to do devotionals in the morning before the kids get too distracted and rowdy. It’s the perfect way to start the day!
