Summer is officially here and we are so excited! We have been finished with our school year for several weeks, but are so excited for the 6 weeks ahead of marking things off our summer bucket list.
Here’s what we’re up to this summer and what we hope to do and see:
- Go camping
- Take a trip to the zoo
- Cool off at Gaylord Opryland’s SoundWaves
- Go to a Nashville Sounds game
- Have ice cream for dinner one night
- Visit the Music City Hot Chicken Festival
- Listen to music at Musican’s Corner in Nashville
- Visit Arrington Vineyards Music in the Vines
- Tour the Tennessee State Capital
- Visit the Tennessee State Museum
- Go to an outdoor concert
- Go to the Cumberland Park Spraygrounds
- Go to the Farmer’s Market
- Watch fireworks
- Have a water balloon fight
- Rent a pontoon boat for the evening and have dinner on the lake
- Go kayaking
- Go to the cabin in North Carolina
- Visit the different murals in Nashville and take photos
- Visit a new park
- Go to the beach
- Pick strawberries
- Catch fireflies
- Go to an aquarium
- Read 2 new books
- Take swim lessons
- Have snow cones
- Have a summer movie bucket list
- Ride the trolly in downtown Nashville
- Go to a new place for lunch
- Play in the rain
- Make popsicles
- Make a homemade pie
- Eat popsicles at Las Paletas
- Spend the night at Aunt J’s condo
- Learn about 2 new animals
- S’mores night
- Go to the $1 movie
While I know we may not be able to accomplish all of these, I have a really good feeling we’ll get through quite a few. We love the long days of summer and the slower schedule it brings, don’t you?
