Self Control & Temptation. Two things that are huge to be praying for. Let’s face it, temptation is all around us, even in our little children. And self-control is so hard for adults, think how hard it is for children to learn this concept.
“Oh Heavenly Father, I do not want my children’s lives to be like a city whose walls are broken down {Proverbs 25:28}! Cultivate self-control in my children’s hearts {Galatians 5:22-23} and help them keep themselves under control {Proverbs 29:11}, knowing that the devil is prowling around like a roaring lion, looking for someone not in control of their own heart and actions {1 Peter 5:8}. I pray my children would persevere under temptations and trials so they will receive a crown of life and not death {James 1:12-15}. I ask you to provide a way out when my child ren are tempted with _____________________ {1 Corinthians 10:13}. Thank you for giving us your spirit so we can live according to the Spirit. Help my children live by your Spirit and not by their sinful nature {Romans 8}” -used from the e-book, Praying God’s Word for Your Kids=
