There are LOTS of homeschool conventions out there….and I mean lots! How do you know which ones to go to and which ones to avoid?
By experience: by going to them and deciding if you’ll be retuning the next year or not
By word of mouth: what do your other homeschool friends say about the conventions?
I’m here to share with you about an amazing convention that began in 2012 and really took off!
Teach Them Diligently Convention started in 2012 and had quite the turnout! The idea that this homeschool convention is based off the passage of Deuteronomy 6:4-7, I got excited. It’s one of my favorite verses and is so true about raising children.
Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. ~Deuteronomy 6:4-7
I worked for Teach Them Diligently last year as their Social Media Specialist for 3 months before having our third baby. David and Leslie Nunery are some of the most amazing folks. I was sad when I had to step away from this position and working with them and focus on giving birth. {Yes, giving birth was more important but it still was a hard decision.}
In 2013, they have expanded the locations. They are going to be in 3 different locations all over the US and I’ll be at the one in Nashville!
Better yet, want to win a family pass to the convention that is closest to you? Simply use #hsttd on Twitter or comment on the Teach Them Diligently Facebook page stating which convention you plan to attend and you could win!
So, which one will you be at?
