In my life this week… This week has been so chaotic. Every have one of those weeks where you just don’t know how youre going to get it all done? Well, I had one this week. It started Friday morning, my blog completely went away – all the posts, layout, theme, etc. EVERYTHING. Kapoot. So, after much help from a sweet friend to get it back to normal (as well as we could) it was back up and running on Sunday evening. Tuesday, my 2 year old had a colonoscopy. So that had me all nervous and emotional. All that on top of normal everyday business has made our week pretty full.
I was unable to link up last week due to blog issues, but I’m so glad to be back and at it this week.
In our homeschool this week…
We worked on “Good Morning, God” by Apologia all week. We took a break from our normal homeschool routine and focused on the goodness of God and his love.
Places we’re going and people we’re seeing…
The weather has been so pretty this past week. So, we’ve taken our homeschool outside several days. Its been SO nice!
My favorite thing this week was…
Hearing my 5 year old pray for his sponsored child, Isaac.
What’s working/not working for us…
I’ll come back to this next week – we’ve had a great week, so all is in our court this week.
Homeschool questions/thoughts I have…
What Spring activities are you doing with your early elementary aged child? I’m wanting to branch out and do something new this year.
A photo, video, link, or quote to share…
Until next week, Happy Homeschooling!

Wow, Meghan, it sounds like you had some week. Hope things are settling down for you now.
My kids are much older than yours, but when they were young they loved to visit a nearby farm of a friend and see their baby lambs. Something they especially looked forward to. Blessings. 🙂

Thank you Tonya. I hope you’ve had a fabulous week!
What an adorable photo of your sweet little son! (At least, I’m assuming that’s your son::smile::)
The “Good Morning, God” book looks so sweet!
As for Spring activities, we are learning about how to make a compost pile for the first time…to nourish our garden…which is our FAVORITE Spring activity!
Enjoy your week!
Thanks for the great suggestions! Hope your weekend was great!
Forgot to mention that your baby boy will be in our prayers…that sounds pretty frightening to be going through with such a Little One. I hope all is well.
Thanks for the prayers Judy. (hugs)
Sorry you had such a chaotic week. Mine was like that last week. We also took advantage of the nice weather and spent a lot of time outdoors this week.
Hope your week was better!
eeesh…..sorry for the blog craziness!
And your poor kiddo with the colonoscopy! Did he have to prep for it the way adults do? I hear that the drink is the worst part. Poor little guy!
We’ve had a crazy week as well….unbreaking a blog (erm…yeah), then my 2-year-old came down with pneumonia and my 5-year-old and I have bad colds as well. We haven’t left the house since Saturday with the exception of one trip to the doctor. I’ve taken a MUCH more relaxed approach to homeschooling this week!
Hope next week is much, much better for you. 🙂
Thanks sweet friend (hugs)
Sounds like a fun week..and I received the calendar last week thanks so much =)
So glad you got it!
When we get our gift pack in of Yoplait Kids from Yoplait and MyBlogSpark we are going to head out to a local nature conservatory for the morning with journals in hand to sketch any signs of spring we see. : )
GREAT idea!
Wow! That sounds like a full week. I love that you took some time away from your regular curriculum to focus on God and all His goodness. We should all do that more frequently. As for Spring activities, we like to plant a garden. It is so much fun and the kids really enjoy watching the vegetables grow. Plus, they tend to eat them more when they have planted them. A little Momma trick. Have a wonderful weekend.

HI! I hope that next week is more calm or at least more “normal” and I hope that you find out what is going on with your son who had the colonoscopy. Maybe you already did? We are so glad that warmer weather has blessed us with a taste of spring in February, but I think we will get more cold weather before spring is here to stay, living in IN. We will be glad to go to the park and we already made a visit to the zoo this week because the weather was so nice! We will probably plant some seed in pots, rather than do a whole garden, because we have dogs.
You have certainly had a full week, even if you didn’t get much schooling done. Some weeks slowing down and focusing on the goodness of God is the best thing to do. 🙂
Thanks for all the sweet comments and suggestions!
