In my life this week…
Oh how I’ve missed joining in the past two weeks! Life has been, well busy. Between doctors appointments for my son and two trips in between, yeah, blogging has had to be on the backburner the past week or two. Which is ok, but I’m SO glad to be linking up again with Sue.
In our homeschool this week…
Last week we attended our first homeschool convention ever! Woah, what a TON of resources and we came out feeling so good about our decision to homeschool! We knew we wanted to before, but this weekend definitely confirmed that decision. You can read more about our weekend here. We came out with our curriculum for next year and we’re so excited to be using Heart of Dakota.
Places we’re going and people we’re seeing…
Whew, what a whirlwind of a couple of weeks. My husband and I went to the homeschool convention and then three days later, we took a spur of the moment to see his family in Orlando and to take our boys to Disney. What a fun (and busy!) few days!
My favorite thing this week was…
Spending time with my husband at the convention. Not only was it a great time to get our learn on but it was such a fun weekend away bonding without the kids.
What’s working/not working for us…
We are SO ready for Spring and Summer. After being in FL, the Spring fever has officially hit! Summer break can’t get here fast enough.
Homeschool questions/thoughts I have…
As I mentioned earlier, we purchased Heart of Dakota this past weekend. One thing I loved about it was that it was all layed out so well. However, I’m wondering something. Do you keep a planner (even if your curriculum is layed out really well?) If so, which planner do you use?
A photo, video, link, or quote to share…
We are all decorated for Easter at our house and I’m loving it! Spring is one of my favorite seasons.

Homeschool conventions are such a wonderful source of inspiration and encouragement. Be sure to attend every year for that needed boost!
What a fun last minute trip. I’m glad that you all had fun at Disney.
