Blissdom is less than two weeks again and I’m getting so excited. I cannot wait to be in an atmosphere where friends, social media, and bloggers come together for 3 full days {yes, my heart is palpitating just thinking of it}
I’m getting all my geeky devices ready {aka my laptop, iPhone, iPad} and have been in an app downloading mindset for the past few days.
Ya’ll already know I’m a hardcore Apple user, so now the question is… Which apps have I downloaded and will be using for the big event?
1. Sched – Your ultimate app for keeping up with the schedule for Blissdom. Available for Android, Blackberry, and iPhone. Keep it on your home screen because I’m sure it will come in handy when trying to decide which session to go to next. Cost: FREE
2. HooteSuite – I use this on my phone, iPad, and laptop. This will definitely be something I’ll be using quite a bit at Blissdom. You have to stay organized when Tweeting, and this is just the app for it! Cost: FREE
3. CamCard – For all the business cards you’ll be receiving. Make sure you have all of them stored in case you lose one. Simply take a picture of the business card {can be front and back} and CamCard will store them for you in your phone. Cost: FREE {for lite version} or $6.99 – $11.99 {depending on which version you download}
4. Instagram – Chances are you’ll be taking a lot of photos at Blissdom on your phone. I’m a HUGE fan of Instagram and have loved it since it was first released. This easy to use app lets you quickly and easily share photos on your favorite social networking sites. There are TONS of filters and editing options you can use as well. Cost: FREE {for iPhone users only}
5. Blogsy {for iPad} – Chances are you’ll be taking lots of notes at Blissdom and you’ll probably want to make a post or two on your while you’re attending the conference. If you use WordPress or Blogger, this is the perfect app for you {if you own an iPad}. Just drag and drop pictures and videos into your post. Cost: $4.99
6. Evernote – An easy to use note taking app that will transform your Blissdom experience. Put down the pencil and paper and start jotting notes on your iPad or laptop. Chances are, if you’re like me, you type faster than you can write, so this is the answer to note taking at big conferences. From To Do Lists, to notes from the conference, to pictures from my phone. Evernote stores everything across all your devices. Cost: FREE {and more features can be unlocked with a paid version}
7. Facebook – Just as you’ll be tweeting from the event, you’ll want to post updates on Facebook as well. Make sure you have the Facebook app downloaded to your device. Cost: FREE
8. Find My iPhone – Let’s hope this doesn’t happen, but in the event you loose your iPhone, you’ll want to find it fast {Opryland Hotel is a pretty big place and you won’t want to waste your time searching the entire hotel}. This is the most amazing app! All you need to do is download this app and when it’s lost, you can pull it up on another device {iPad or computer} and it will show exactly where your iPhone is located on a map. Pretty neat, huh?
9. Flight Track Pro – Even though I won’t be flying to Blissdom {since its practically in my backyard}, I’ll still be using this app to pick up friends from the airport who will be attending the conference. It places all the important info you’ll need for your flight {or someone else’s flight} at your fingertips. From detailed flight info regarding status of flight, where the flight is located, how long until landing/take-off, etc , it’s all right there. Cost: $9.99
10. Skype – Some prefer Skype, some prefer FaceTime or other apps used in keeping in touch with friends/family. This app would be great to have a quick daily chat with your kids, husband, or family member while attending the conference. Keep in touch! Cost: FREE
Of course there will be MANY more apps I’ll be using at the conference, but these were some I thought might be helpful to those who didn’t already have a list made. I’m so excited to attend Blissdom. A HUGE thanks to my sponsor, Apologia for sending me. *This post is linked up with Oh Amanda – Top Ten Tuesday*

So sad you won’t be there! Hopefully we can meet soon!
Thanks for all the app recommendations… I have all of them except for 2 and I’m checking them out now.
Enjoy your time at Blissdom — maybe I’ll make it next year. Thanks for encouraging me to go, though. 🙂
SO wish you were going to be there – definitely, next year you have to be!
