We’ve been planning for months for this trip. The boys received the Disney Cruise as part of their Christmas and we’ve been counting down the days since. We’re cruising with Disney next week and can’t wait to hop on board. While this list is what I’m packing for this specific trip, these things could be used for any other cruise. Many of you know I love to pack for trips. Unpacking is a different story, but there’s something so exciting about packing. The anticipation of what the trip will be like, the mystery of being somewhere else for a few days, is all so exciting. What are some of the essentials that I’m packing for our Disney Cruise? These are just a few. Oh, and make sure you read to the bottom of this post because there is a fun giveaway for you!
- Bathing Suit and Cover-Ups. Of course this is a must when traveling to the Bahamas and is first on my list.
- Flip-Flops. I love flip flops so much I sometimes wear them when its 45 degrees in Nashville. They’re my favorite.
I recently discovered Bella Ha shoes and have fallen in love with them. Do you know their story? Pretty great huh? Every purchase you make from Bellaha, will help them send solar suitcases to provide light to off-the-grid clinics. Each collection helps a different area of the world. In more places than you can imagine, women give birth to children in darkness. This contributes to high infant and maternal mortality rates in impoverished regions. The purchase of these shoes helps prevent that. Now if that isn’t cool, I don’t know what is. Makes you want to go purchase a pair of shoes {or three} from Bellaha, right? Which pair are your favorite? I love mine. I went with the Cyclo Natural sandal and love that I can wear them with a casual outfit or dress it up for an evening out. One of my favorite things about the flip-flops is there is a tiny metal tag on each sandal with a longitude and latitude of the Khanh Hoa province. This is a littler reminder that the purchase of the shoes has provided Solar Suitcases to birth clinics in that area to help mothers and babies. What a neat story to share! a Rafflecopter giveaway
- The Mamuye Tote from fashionABLE. This is a bag you take everywhere. Dress it up or down and it’s perfect for any occasion. I’m going to use it as a carry-on and a beach tote for our trip. Hand crafted in Ethiopia and Kenya, and it’s 100% genuine distressed leather. The tote measures 16” X 18” (seam to seam) and is so comfortable to throw on your shoulder. The straps are durable and have a 12” drop. I’ve taken mine on many vacations and it’s going on another one this coming week. (This photo was taken on our trip to Peter Island this past summer)
5. Essential Oil Bag from Honey Hive Five. I’ve got my few oils ready to go for our trip. Some of the ones I love to travel with are: Lemon, Peppermint, Lavender, Breathe, On Guard, DigestZen, and Wild Orange. I’ve always just thrown them in a zip-lock and have been on my way. But, I’ve recently found Honey Hive Five and loved her bags!
These essential oil bags are adorable pouches for carrying your essential oils on the go, while traveling, or just to have by your bedside. There are so many different sizes to choose from. I chose the one that holds 10 oils. When I throw this pouch in my purse or overnight bag, the smell is wonderful when unzipping it.
I’m excited to give you all a discount code for Honey High Five. Take 20% off your purchase by using the code HHF20. Let me know which one you choose. I’d love to know!
6. Tieks. Because they go everywhere with me. I wear them to church, around town to run errands, on date night, and pack them for every trip I go on. They are super comfortable and they are my go to flat. I have 4 different colors and I’m about to order a 5th. These shoes will be perfect for strolling around on the ship or for dinner at night. Which color would you get?
7. Soft sided luggage. You’ll be able to collapse them and put them under your bed. Definitely saves room in your cabin!
8. Plug Power Strip. There aren’t a ton of outlets in the cabin. If you bring a power strip, you’ll be able to plug more things in.
9. Old Hotel Room Key Card. Lots of cruises make you put your room key in a slot to keep the lights and air conditioner on. They are a standard size room key card, so if you have an extra, you can place it in there while you’re out and about. You’ll come back to a cool room.
10. Towel Clips. It gets very windy on the balcony of your cruise ship. Bring clips to clip the towels and wet bathing suits to the chair. This way they won’t blow away.
11. Febreeze or Downy Wrinkle Release. Lots of cabins don’t have irons. Bring your favorite wrinkle releaser to spray your clothes to get the wrinkles out instead of paying a high dollar to send the laundry off to be ironed.
Have you been on a Disney Cruise before? I’d love to hear about your trip. What other things do you pack for your cruise vacation to make it easier?
