It’s no secret that kids love getting things in the mail. I first heard of Wonder Crate over on Instagram and immediately looked into it for our boys. Wonder Crate is a subscription box that introduces kids to inspirational role models, sparks their curiosity and connects them to their own possibilities. Oh, and arrives at your doorstep with your child’s name on the box.
What’s included in a Wonder Crate subscription?
- A Who Was book to introduce kids to brave, forward-thinking role models. We absolutely love these books and already own a lot of them as we incorporate them into our science and history curriculum already.
- Two or three fun activities (which include supplies) to spark curiosity and connect children to their own possibilities.
- Story cards and video links of kids their own age that are making a difference.
- Your first box will have a metal carrying case to keep your supplies in. Then, each month that follows, you’ll be sent a magnet to decorate your box with.
As soon as the box arrived and we dug into it, I found my 6 year old laying on my bed devouring the Who Was Marie Curie book. He finished it in just a couple hours all on his own. My plan was to read it to him, but he beat me to it.
Born in Warsaw, Poland, on November 7, 1867, Marie Curie was forbidden to attend the male-only University of Warsaw, so she enrolled at the Sorbonne in Paris to study physics and mathematics. There she met a professor named Pierre Curie, and the two soon married, forming one of the most famous scientific partnerships in history. Together they discovered two elements and won a Nobel Prize in 1903. (Later Marie won another Nobel award for chemistry in 1911.) No wonder they chose Marie Curie as the chosen book for this months read.
The cost is just $29.95 a month (with additional supplies for other children in your house for just a $9.95 add on). There are also discounts available for 3, 6, and 12 month subscriptions. Go ahead and sign up. I promise you’ll be so glad you did (and your kids will thank you, too).
Also, I’m SO excited to be giving away a FREE 3 month Wonder Crate subscription. Who wants to win? Entering is easy!
a Rafflecopter giveawayThis giveaway ends on 3/15 at 12am CST. A winner will be randomly chosen and notified. If the winner does not respond to the email within 24 hours of being notified, a new winner will be chosen.
*Disclosure: Wonder Crate kindly sent me this box for review purposes. However, all opinions expressed in this post are 100% mine.
